SchmiDTEL Corgis
The SCHMIDT Part
The Schmidt family lives on a wooded hill amongst the pine trees beside a beautiful Pennsylvania State Park – Codorus State Park. Our humble castle sits on 3 acres with plenty of room for our Corgi friends to run and protect. Dave and I gradually became hobby breeders as the empty nest stage of life hit us hard in 2007. It took little time to fall head over heels in love with our Pembroke Emma. In 2009 we added Tucker – full of spunk and energy. We are thrilled to help spread the Corgi love.
The DTEL Part
D is for David, the reason for SCHMIDTEL CORGIS. He had the great vision to use our castle on Pine Tree Road to spread the goodness of the Corgi love. Our son Jonathan built the whelping box and the Playpen….Great job Jon!
T is for Tucker, the sire whom you can read about here.
E is for Emma, the dam whom you can read about here.
L is for Lisa, that’s me. I get to use all the neat gadgets and equipment that the guys create, including this great website that my other son, Matthew has designed – Thanks Matt! I am the primary puppy caretaker. Hopefully I will get my guys to build some agility equipment this summer!
Our Dogs
Emma and Tucker are both very agile and fast, as is typical of a well-bred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Both dogs are in the smaller Corgi family weighing in at 17 lbs each. They would be great competitors in the arena. I chose not to compete because I simply want them as the precious companions they are. We allowed them to breed, confident in their offspring to bring great joy to others – perhaps you!
If you are interested in the competition arena, these pups should have what it takes to do well with the proper training. Emma and Tucker would most likely get point deductions for their size, but have the potential to make up for it in performance. All markings on the pups are within breed standards.
